At Hi-Line Tactical, we believe in honoring service at every level, from the dedicated professionals who protect our communities to the four-legged heroes who stand beside them. Every product we create is designed to help people train harder and perform better, but our mission extends to supporting those who put everything on the line for others.
That’s why a portion of every purchase goes directly to Project K-9 Hero, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to providing medical care and support for Police K-9s and Military Working Dogs.
This commitment became deeply personal when members of our team met a pararescue unit during a training exercise. Among them was K-9 Callie, a search and rescue dog whose calm confidence caught everyone’s attention. Her handler shared stories of their deployments: rappelling from helicopters into disaster zones, searching through rubble after earthquakes, locating lost hikers in brutal conditions. She wasn’t just a tool or piece of equipment; she was a teammate who’d saved countless lives when every second counted.
When we learned about her retirement, the reality hit hard. After years of jumping from aircraft, carrying heavy gear, and working in extreme environments, she faced mounting medical bills with no military pension or benefits to cover them. Her body bore the cost of her service: damaged joints, chronic pain, stress-related conditions, all requiring expensive ongoing treatment.
K-9 Callie’s story isn’t unique. Thousands of police K-9s and military working dogs who have served in combat zones, disaster areas, and on our streets face the same uncertain future. Despite their dangerous service protecting us, these dogs are released to handlers or adopters with nothing but the injuries they’ve accumulated on the job. The families who take them in often face veterinary bills running into thousands of dollars, expenses most can’t afford alone.
